__ Ductal Carcinoma in Situ
__ AJCC Stage 1-3 Invasive breast cancer 

If either of the two conditions above is present, patient preference should be considered in ordering breast imaging studies. Breast MRI results in increased biopsy and subsequent cancer detection rate relative to mammography alone. But there is no difference in sensitivity and interval cancer rates between MRI and mammography. Additional and potentially unnecessary biopsies should be considered when ordering Breast MRI.
