Purpose and Usage Tab
This content is most applicable to Knowledge Level 3 Structured and Knowledge Level 4 Executable artifacts where the triggers for activating the artifact within an EHR, or other health IT system, have been identified. This content helps clinical informaticists, developers, and implementors evaluate the artifact for their use case.
- Purpose – The purpose of the artifact. Explanation of why this artifact is needed and why it has been designed as it has.
- Intended Population – The intended population that the artifact applies to.
- Usage – The context in which the artifact is applicable or should be used. A detailed description of how the artifact is used from a clinical perspective.
- Cautions – Any cautions or warnings to be considered regarding the artifact.
- Test Patients –Sample test (artificial) patients that demonstrate features and can be used to verify functionality of the artifact. Upload requirements include:
- Unlimited number of files can be uploaded to this field.
- 5 MB limit.
- Nine allowed file types: TXT, CSV, XLS, XLSX, JSON, XML, ZIP, HTML, HTM .
