Artifact Creation and Usage Tab

This content can help developers and implementors decide how they might modify the artifact for their own use case and who is responsible for the posted artifact if there are questions.

  1. License – from the dropdown menu, select the license that best fits your artifact. Contact the project team if you have questions as to which is most appropriate.
  1. Copyrights – Enter additional copyright information in the rich text editor text field. This text will post on the Artifact Detail page.
  2. Keywords – Enter one or more keywords to associate with the artifact. Start by adding the set of keywords. Select from the items currently tagged as keywords or add your own. You may re-order the keywords by either dragging the item within the Drupal widget or activating the “Show row weights” button and re-assigning row weights. This field is used in the “Keyword” Simple Search feature and only appears on the Artifact Detail page.
  3. Steward – Funder, likely owner of intellectual property. Examples include Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), AHRQ, Veterans Health Administration. This organization is responsible for the oversight of the artifact, and in several cases, has funded the research efforts underlying the artifact’s development and piloting. Start typing the organization name and an auto-filter will begin. You may re-order the stewards by dragging the item within the Drupal widget or activating the “Show row weights” button and re-assigning row weights.
    • NOTE: If you do not see your steward organization listed, contact the project team to have it added into the authoring system.
  4. Publisher – Legally owns and is responsible for an artifact from the clinical content perspective, including best efforts to review and maintain CDS artifacts that are Active for clinical use and not Experimental. In some instances, an individual could be the Author, Publishing Organization Lead, and Publishing Organization. See more from Governance.
    • NOTE: This value is used in the “Publisher” Simple Search feature. If you do not see your organization listed, contact the project team to have it added into the authoring system.
  5. Contributors – Enter a list individuals or organizations that contributed to the development of the artifact.
  6. IP Attestation Flag – Select this checkbox to indicate that you, as the artifact author, declare that this artifact has been developed in compliance with the intellectual property (IP) rights attributed to the source material.
